Founded in 2006, Ravel Virtual Studios was created to support composers who lack access to live musicians. We firmly believe that experiencing music performed by live musicians is an irreplaceable and rewarding experience, and we encourage composers to pursue this opportunity whenever possible. However, we understand that logistical and financial constraints often make this difficult, especially for larger orchestral works.
By providing high-quality, realistic recordings, we offer composers a professional and persuasive way to promote their music to performers and conductors. Our goal is to inspire composers to write for ensembles of any size and to help them present their work in the best possible light.
Ronald K.W. Artinian is the Music Director and Co-Founder of Ravel Virtual Studios. With degrees in both music and psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, Ron brings a unique blend of expertise to the studio. His academic background includes studying composition and theory under renowned composers and conducting research on the neurology of music perception. This combination of knowledge allows Ron to deeply understand both the technical and emotional aspects of music, ensuring that the recordings produced by Ravel Virtual Studios are not only technically accurate but also emotionally resonant.
Ron’s dedication to helping composers realize their visions is the driving force behind Ravel Virtual Studios. While he wholeheartedly supports the irreplaceable experience of live performance, he also recognizes the challenges many composers face. His mission is to provide a bridge between the composer's vision and the vibrant sound of a live orchestra, making it accessible to all.
